School Groups

School admission rates are offered on weekdays. Make your reservations at least two weeks prior to bringing your group to the Space Needle. One teacher or chaperone is required for every ten students ages (K-8) in your field trip group. One teacher or chaperone is required for every twenty students ages (9-12) in your field trip group.

Rates

Not available during summer months or holidays. A minimum of 15 guests is required to receive the above discounted rates. If you are looking to host a private event at the Space Needle, please refer to the private events information page.

School Field Trip Guidelines 

All Visitors to Chihuly Garden and Glass should follow our standard guest guidelines. 

• No food or beverages are permitted anywhere in the exhibition. 

• Please do not touch artwork, platforms or displays. 

• Use of selfie sticks, gimbals, tripods or other professional lighting or equipment is prohibited. 

• Free coat check is available in the lobby. 

For Chaperones of Students Remember “SAFE” 

• Stay with your student group. 

This is a self-guided tour…Chaperones may access our free audio tour on our digital exhibition guide by scanning the QR code in each gallery. 

• Always make sure your students walk through the exhibition – running is unsafe in our space. 

• Fun– Plan on spending 3-5 minutes in each gallery with your group. 

Engage in discussions about the artwork with them after reading each didactic. 

• Exit is located through the Bookstore, just past the Theater.

 Make sure your whole group exits together. Re-Entry is not permitted.

• Welcome to Chihuly Garden and Glass! We are happy you are visiting. 

• Everything can be photographed! Nothing can be touched…

including pedestals, tables, platforms and even plants in the garden. 

• Learn who Dale Chihuly is. 

As a PNW artist from Tacoma, Chihuly still lives and works in Seattle. 

• Chaperones need to be with your group at all times. 

• Other guests deserve a pleasant experience; please use respectful voices. 

• Make sure to stay on sidewalks in the garden. 

• Eating and drinking are not permitted.

Please keep any food or beverages in your backpack or check them at our free coat check for after your visit.
