Chihuly Garden and Glass provides a variety of support services to assist guests during their visit. Below is a general overview of accessibility at the Exhibition. Please contact us with specific questions or needs.
Guests with Mobility Considerations
- The Space Needle valet near our entrance is available for guest pick-up/drop-off; additional accessible parking options can be found on the Seattle Center website
- Chihuly Garden and Glass is a single-floor exhibition space without stairs
- Complimentary wheelchair rentals are available at coat check on a first come, first serve basis
- Mobility scooters are permitted in the galleries
- Benches are located throughout the galleries, Garden, Glasshouse, and Theater
Guests who are Deaf or have Hearing Loss
- A transcript of the complimentary audio guide is available on our website in English, Mandarin (simplified characters), Japanese, Spanish, and Korean; printed versions are available at the Admissions desk
- Videos in the Theater are captioned in English
- Transcripts of the short gallery talks and glassblowing demonstrations offered are available on our website; please ask a member of the Exhibitions staff if you would like a printed copy
Guests with Low to No Vision
- The eight interior galleries have low lighting with spotlights, the Glasshouse and Garden have natural lighting, and the Theater has low lighting
- A complimentary audio guide is accessible by smartphone along with complimentary wifi
Guests with Cognitive and Sensory Considerations
- Please check our hours and potential closures on our website before visiting. The Exhibition may close early for events, and the Glasshouse may close early while the rest of the Exhibition is open.
- October-March are typically quieter with fewer crowds
- In general, visiting in the first hour of the day or after 5 PM will yield fewer crowds
- Tickets are available to purchase online ahead of your visit
- Short gallery talks and glassblowing demonstrations are offered via a voice amplifier throughout the day; transcripts can be found on our website (please ask an Exhibition Host for a printed copy)
